Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: American Fork, UT
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr
Contract Length: 1-6 months (TBD)

Role Overview

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist supports financial operations within the software industry, managing daily AP processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and vendor support. This contract position requires hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and familiarity with Salesforce to support invoice workflows and purchasing data.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice & Payment Processing

• Process invoices and ensure accurate entry into Sage Intacct.
• Manage weekly payment runs and confirm correct GL coding.
• Reconcile transactions and support AP accuracy.

Invoice Verification & Compliance

• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and alignment with contracts or POs.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit expectations.
• Ensure document completeness before payment processing.

Record Maintenance & Documentation

• Maintain organized digital AP records within Sage Intacct.
• Manage vendor information including W-9s and compliance documentation.
• Assist with month-end close tasks, including accruals and reporting.

Issue Resolution & Vendor Relations

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolutions.
• Monitor aging and follow up proactively to avoid overdue invoices.

Systems & Workflow Support

• Utilize Salesforce for invoice validation and purchase-related data checks.
• Support AP workflow improvements and automation opportunities.
• Assist with enhancements or integrations related to Sage Intacct AP processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct is required.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
